Many were surprised to see Kanye West break his social media silence over the recent controversy surrounding rapper Lil Nas X’s hell-inspired music video and custom shoes made with a drop of human blood.

In a tweet following national debate and uproar regarding the young country rapper’s choice to go demon mode, Mr. West issued a public threat. He stated that if the hellish antics continued he would release a follow-up to his 2020 letdown of an album ‘Jesus is King’. The comment section on his tweet was instantly flooded with responses such as, “Please Kanye I can assure you this would not be what the Lord would want,” and, “This dude really saw Lil Nas X give Satan a lap dance and felt the most motivated he has in years.”

In a follow-up tweet, he also announced a new pair of shoes being produced by his clothing brand YEEZY in response to those of Lil Nas X’s. He said, “God came to me last night to do a YEEZY x Jesus collab, here is what we settled on.” This image depicting what appears to be just a poorly drawn sketch of a regular YEEZY BOOST with a stick figure Jesus being crucified was attached to the tweet:

West included both a top view and a side view in the sketch

This isn’t the first time Kanye West has spoken up about topics regarding religious faith and his commitment to Christianity. Many were not phased by his outspokenness in this case, but instead scratched their heads wondering, ‘God doesn’t have time to answer my prayers but he has time to design a signature shoe?’
